CREPES

Me in my apron!
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
2 eggs

Step 1: mix together flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl. make a well(hole) in the mixture and pour in milk and eggs. mix REALLY REALLY WELL. then, lighly coat a pan in oil and put on medium heat.
Step 2: pour about 1/4 cup of the batter onto pan and spread aroun into really thin layer. let cook for about 1 minute then flip. let cook about 1 minute on other side. repeat until batter is gone.
Step 3: add fruit to the middle of 1 crepe. you can alo add things lice ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate, or any kind of fruit you want. put anything you want on the top too!

what i put on mine was, i cut strawberries and put them inside, then them up and on the top, i spread melted chocolate and shortening(1 cup chocolate, 2 tsp shortening) then lightly sprinkled sugar on top of the chocolat. then i finished it off with whipped cream and raspberries!

okay so i decided that this time, along with making the crepes, i was gonna research their history also. and i did just that.

crepes originated from france. the word "crepe" was derived from the latin word "crispa", meaning "curled". they were originally served as treats with drinks like cider in france. they soon spread to other parts of the world. before they became a widespread dessert, though, different cultures had their own foods that were similar. people in south america had tortillas, people in africa ate the injera, india had the dosa, and central america ate sope.

crepes are a delicious, easy to make treat. try them some time!

Wow that looks so delicious. I can't believe you made them look so professional. I'm not allowed to be shown up by my little sister. Mom says "oh my gosh she has to cook like that for us for Christmas".
I've actually never made crepes before but have always wanted to.
You'll have to teach me next time you are here!
