GHOSTLY CUPCAKES!

I made cupcakes with my little brother Nathan, and since its almost Halloween we made them ghosts!

I was lame again and made the cupcakes from a box. i wanted to be able to make them within the time nathan was there. the icing was already made, but i put it in bags and cut the ends off do do better details(although they didn't turn out amazing...)

they were delicious though

CONFETTI CAKE

okay so i was lame and i made the cake from a mix because i was being lazy. it still came out nice though. for a mix you don't need many directions because they are on the box.

I convinced my dad to help me ice the cake.
Isn't it beautiful!!! i put chocolate powder, chocolate sprinkles, and fresh strawberries on the top.
black and white.
that slice was delicious.
soon it will all be gone.

CHERRY PIE

Cherry pie is DELICIOUS! i made it and ate it for the first time.
Since it was my first time, i got pre-made pie crust(2 dough crusts, not the crumbly gram cracker ones), and 1 can of pre-made cherry filling. the rest of the filling was real cherries.
i cut all the real cherries in half to get the seeds out, then i just poured all the filling in one of the pie crusts. i flattened the other one and cut it into strips to lay across the top, making the cool criss-crossy pattern. then i popped it in the oven at 425 degrees for 15 minutes, then lowered the temperature to 325 for another 30 minutes.
i let the pie cool for about 30 minutes, then ate it! i kinda failed at cutting a piece and getting it on the place neatly so it actually looked like a slice of pie, but i covered my failure up with some whipped cream and a strategically placed raspberry. the pie was amazing!!! i can't wait to make it again!

CREPES

Me in my apron!
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
2 eggs

Step 1: mix together flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl. make a well(hole) in the mixture and pour in milk and eggs. mix REALLY REALLY WELL. then, lighly coat a pan in oil and put on medium heat.
Step 2: pour about 1/4 cup of the batter onto pan and spread aroun into really thin layer. let cook for about 1 minute then flip. let cook about 1 minute on other side. repeat until batter is gone.
Step 3: add fruit to the middle of 1 crepe. you can alo add things lice ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate, or any kind of fruit you want. put anything you want on the top too!

what i put on mine was, i cut strawberries and put them inside, then them up and on the top, i spread melted chocolate and shortening(1 cup chocolate, 2 tsp shortening) then lightly sprinkled sugar on top of the chocolat. then i finished it off with whipped cream and raspberries!

okay so i decided that this time, along with making the crepes, i was gonna research their history also. and i did just that.

crepes originated from france. the word "crepe" was derived from the latin word "crispa", meaning "curled". they were originally served as treats with drinks like cider in france. they soon spread to other parts of the world. before they became a widespread dessert, though, different cultures had their own foods that were similar. people in south america had tortillas, people in africa ate the injera, india had the dosa, and central america ate sope.

crepes are a delicious, easy to make treat. try them some time!

BROWNIE POPS!!!!

for one of my friends' birthday i made brownie pops. they turned out really cute and delicious!!!!!

Ingredients:
brownie mix(or the things to make brownies from scratch)
1 cup chocolate chips
2 teaspoons shortening
sprinkles
ribbon
plastic wrap

Step 1: well of course, first you gotta bake your brownies (in a 13x9in pan). put aluminum foil down on the pan and spray with non-stick cooking spray. make sure the foil goes 1-2 inches over the side. follow the instructions on the box or bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes or until fully baked. allow to cool for at least 30 minutes.
Step 2: after the brownies cool, put the entire pan(foil and everything) in the freezer for about 45 minutes. then take them out and carefully remove foil and brownies from pan. carefully peeling off the foil, cut the brownies into rectangles(about 16-24 depending on how small you cut them) place back in freeser for 10 minutes.
Step 3: while the brownies are in the freezer, melt the chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave-safe bowl(in the microwave) for about 1 minute. if its not melted enough put in microwave 5 seconds at a time until fully melted. take the brownies out of the freezer and carefully place popsicle sticks in the ends. make sure you go almost all the way through the brownie so it doesn't fall off. then with a knife, spread melted chocolate over the tops of the brownies, and sprinkle. put in fridge 15-30 minutes or until chocolate is somewhat hard

Step 4: after the chocolate has hardened, wrap each brownie pop in plastic wrap and tie with ribbon(to make it look like a lollipop)

enjoy!

PIZZA TIME

okey dokey so i made a pizza and it was DELICIOUS.
i named him tasty pete.
and indeed he was tasty. anyways here are some pics of tasty pete.

before baking
after baking
all gone!

so tasty pete had his dough, sauce, cheese, and chicken
i made the dough and kneaded it and let it rise. then i spread it out on the pan very carefully. i decided just to help it rise a little more i put it in the oven for about 5 minutes then took it out and put on tomato sauce with a little bit of pepper, some cheese, and i cut up and half-way cooked some chicken breast, and put that on top also.

pizza is actually pretty easy to make. you can get the pre-made ingredients and slap it together quickly or you can take your time. either way works, but it's simple, delicious, and fun. try it some time!
